Resumo:The objective of the investigation was to evaluate the agronomic behavior of the cucumber crop (Cucumis sativus L) before the application of chitosan, mycorrhizal fungi and humic acids under protected conditions. The research was carried out in a greenhouse and laboratory of Molecular Biology and Microbiology of the State Technical University of Quevedo, Ecuador. The vegetative material was the commercial varieties of cucumber (Inivit and Racer), with chitosan treatments (3 g L-1), Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) (20 g of spores/ml) and humic acids (1:30 v/v). Germination, morphometric variables, growth indicators and production indicators were evaluated. The Racer variety registered the highest germination percentage, the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi presented the highest germination. While the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the Inivit variety showed the highest fresh biomass. Chitosan and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi influenced the weight of the fruit. Chitosan in the Inivit variety generated the highest yield.
