Summary:Sustainability and energy saving as architectural and urban issues have not only become regular research topics in recent years, but are a priority in practice, therefore all sustainable practice with potential energy saving should be considered as a priority option at the decision making. This article presents some thoughts and information about the possibilities of recycling or creative reuse of underutilized or abandoned spaces, structures and buildings, and with them to reactivate urban sectors that become infrastructure that triggers processes of urban resilience. The intention is to make reflect on the advantages of this architectural and urban recycling practice and highlight the achievements that this has reached.
