The architect's commitment is to society where the needs of inhabiting architectural spaces, their laws and standards that dictate for their design are contemplated; before the contemporaneity to apply the technology and the vanguard concepts; and above all with nature, this is acting with respect to the natural and built context. Part of the architectural production in the city has moved away from this objective, not by having regional references and above all by the application of the regulations that legitimize society. This is not private in the production of private architecture but in the public, because it is up to all of us. The research contains the architectural typological comparative analysis between the architectural production of modernity and the contemporaneity of Culiacán, Sinaloa, this through the applied and descriptive classified research method. As a consequence of not taking the local environment into account, various buildings have complicated their comfort air conditioning. Resumen El compromiso del arquitecto es ante la sociedad donde se contemplan las necesidades de habitar los espacios arquitectónicos en una interacción necesaria; con leyes y normas que dictan para su diseño; con la naturaleza; actuar con respeto al contexto natural y edificado; ante la contemporaneidad para aplicar la tecnología y los conceptos de vanguardia, interacción que en su despliegue podremos ver en este artículo la relevancia que representa como oportunidad del desarrollo del conocimiento de la Arquitectura, diseño o urbanismo en el contexto histórico de la mitad del siglo pasado en la capital del Estado de Sinaloa. Parte de la producción arquitectónica en la ciudad se ha alejado de este objetivo al no tener referencias de la arquitectura regional y sobre todo la aplicación de la normatividad que legitima a la sociedad. La investigación contiene el análisis comparativo tipológico arquitectónico entre la producción arquitectónica de la modernidad y la contemporaneidad de Culiacán, Sinaloa, esto a través del método de investigación aplicado y clasificado descriptivo. Como consecuencia de no tomar en cuenta el medio ambiente local prevaleciente, diversas edificaciones han complicado su climatización de confort.
