For these purposes, a systematic mapping of the literature related to the subject has been carried out in order to show that the use of cognitive enhancers in Latin America is quite common, which is why more in-depth studies are necessary that can determine what their true effects are with so as to pose in a more precise way what are the multiple ethical and legal challenges that derive from its use. El artículo muestra sobre el uso de mejoradores cognitivos en personas sanas en Latinoamérica. Los estudios empíricos señalan que uso es creciente en la Universidades, principalmente en estudiantes relacionados con las ciencias médicas. Para estos fines se ha realizado un mapeo sistemático de la literatura relacionada con el tema con tal de mostrar que el uso de mejoradores cognitivos en Latinoamérica es bastante habitual, por lo que se hacen necesarios estudios más profundos que puedan determinar cuáles son sus verdaderos efectos con tal de plantear de una manera más precisa los múltiples retos éticos y legales que se derivan de su utilización.
