In this work, analytical data (petrographic studies, X-R Fluorescence (XRF), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and spectroradiometry) are presented from a representative sample. The sample belongs to the serpentinized peridotites of Loma Caribe formation, in the central part of the Dominican Republic. Petrographically, sepiolite-falcondoite and chalcedony are identified. XRF analyses show high values of Ni, Cu, Fe. For XRD, garnierite and associated quartz are determined. Spectroradiometrically, stevensite, glaucophane, muscovite and magnesium illite are obtained. With this sample, it was also possible to demonstrate and present for the first time the spectral signature that identifies the garnierite mineral from Dominican Republic, providing new and more updated information on this mineral. La garnierita es un silicato hidratado de magnesio y níquel, que se encuentra asociado a depósitos en la zona de intemperismo de rocas ultramáficas serpentinizadas. En el presente trabajo se presentan datos analíticos de una muestra a la que se le realizaron estudios petrográficos, Fluorescencia de Rayos X (FRX), Difracción de Rayos X (DRX) y espectrorradiometría. La muestra pertenece a las peridotitas serpentinizadas de la formación Loma Caribe, en la parte central de República Dominicana. Petrográficamente, se identifica sepiolita-falcondita y calcedonia. Los análisis de FRX muestran altos valores de Ni, Cu, Fe. Para la DRX se determina garnierita y cuarzo asociado. Espectrorradiometricamente, se obtienen minerales de stevensita, saponita, muscovita, glaucofana e illita magnésica. Con esta muestra también fue posible demostrar y presentar por primera vez la firma espectral que identifica el mineral garnierita de República Dominicana brindando nueva y más actualizada información sobre este mineral.
