Sumario:Some metallurgical wastes have residual metals of interest generated in metallurgical operations have values of interest that can be reprocessed to give additional value to the operation, this work presents the modeling and simulation of leaching tanks for silver recovery with thiourea and oxalate from jarosite that is principal zinc processing waste for this purpose first-order models were used and the one with the best fit was selected for the evaluation of the leaching rate in tanks with continuous stirring (CSTR). Finally, the results obtained with the process simulation are presented with the help of the Matlab-Simulink® software using subsystem blocks.
