Therefore, based on this comparison, legal and financial elements are provided within the business valuation, which could help to strengthen the bankruptcy proceedings in Mexico.      Resumen   El objetivo de la presente investigación es abordar la valuación de empresas dentro de la figura jurídica del concurso mercantil, llevando a cabo un ejercicio de derecho comparado, es decir, contrastando lo establecido por la Ley de Concursos Mercantiles de México y el Código de Quiebras de los Estados Unidos de América, en conjunto con la práctica llevada a cabo en ambos países en este tema.
