A systematic review was carried out based on the analysis of documents according to the PRISMA model, searching for original articles that made use of the Ryff scale (1989) and showed the results by high, medium, or low degree. The SciELO, Redalyc, Dialnet, PubMed, and ProQuest databases were explored, finding 149 documents, leaving a total of 4 publications for analysis. The results show average degrees of global psychological well-being and its dimensions. The study of psychological well-being in university students is extremely important since observing the levels of this construct in this population can help institutions, tutors, or student guides to carry out strategies and set goals in order to improve academic performance and personal development. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo analizar el grado de bienestar psicológico global y por dimensiones en estudiantes universitarios mexicanos. Se llevó a cabo una revisión sistemática basada en el análisis de documentos de acuerdo con el modelo PRISMA, buscando artículos originales que hicieran uso de la escala de Ryff (1989) y mostraran los resultados por grado alto, medio o bajo. Se exploraron las bases de datos SciELO, Redalyc, Dialnet, PubMed y ProQuest, encontrándose 149 documentos, quedando un total de 4 publicaciones para su análisis. Los resultados muestran grados medios de bienestar psicológico global y por dimensión. El estudio del bienestar psicológico en estudiantes universitarios es de suma importancia, ya que observar cuales son los niveles de este constructo en esta población puede ayudar a las instituciones, tutores o guías estudiantiles a llevar a cabo estrategias y plantearse metas con el fin de mejorar el desempeño académico y desarrollo personal.
