This work carries out a theoreticalfoundation aimed at highlighting the importance of the formation of values in the students of theGuáimaro University Center, the formation of values and its relationship with the forms of socialconscience are addressed. The value of responsibility was identified as a priority for the futureperformance of Cuban teachers as social entities and trainers of the new generations and the rolethat the training process plays in the current Cuban university, proposing a strategy aimed atfavoring the training process. Los retos actuales a los que enfrentan los jóvenes cubanos son grandes, de esta realidad no escapala formación de valores éticos y morales específicamente la responsabilidad, constituyendo undesafío garantizar la formación de un profesional competente y comprometido con la sociedad.Este trabajo realiza una fundamentación teórica encaminada a destacar la importancia de laformación de valores en los estudiantes del Centro Universitario de Guáimaro, se aborda laformación de valores y su relación con las formas de la conciencia social. Se identificó el valorresponsabilidad como una prioridad para el futuro desempeño de los maestros cubanos como entessociales y formadores de las nuevas generaciones y el papel que juega el proceso formativo en launiversidad cubana actual proponiendo una estrategia encaminada a favorecer el procesoformativo.
