The present research, by its design, is descriptive and exploratory and aims to determine, from the opinion of entrepreneurs, the use of social networks in the business management of their businesses, in order to determine the need and importance of implementing change strategies with measures innovative based on the use of social networks that help to streamline their business management processes and face the current challenges of the market to which they belong. The results, of an exploratory nature, allow us to argue that, although the entrepreneur makes use of social networks, he is unaware of the methodological work that must be followed to develop strategies based on the use of social networks as a management tool for the promotion and development of their businesses. La presente investigación, por su diseño es de tipo descriptiva y exploratoria y tiene como objetivo determinar, desde la opinión de los emprendedores, el uso de las redes sociales en la gestión empresarial de sus negocios, con el fin de determinar la necesidad e importancia de implementar estrategias de cambio con medidas innovadoras basadas en el uso de redes sociales que ayuden a eficientar sus procesos de gestión empresarial y afrontar los retos actuales del mercado al que pertenecen. Los resultados, de carácter exploratorio, permiten argumentar que, si bien el emprendedor hace uso de las redes sociales, desconoce el trabajo metodológico que se debe seguir para desarrollar estrategias basadas en el uso de las redes sociales como herramienta de gestión para la promoción y desarrollo de sus negocios.
