The results, of an exploratory nature, allow us to maintain that the pandemic generated by COVID-19 brought challenges in the management of human talent of SMEs that helped it generate a series of challenges, which it must face in order to adapt to the new normality that these companies are experiencing and be able to achieve competitiveness. La presente investigación, por su diseño es de tipo descriptivo y exploratorio y tiene como objetivo realizar un diagnóstico para identificar los retos asociados a las posibles contingencias que se presentan en la gestión del talento humano de las pequeñas y medianas empresas (pymes) de Hermosillo, Sonora, durante la pandemia por COVID-19, con el fin de determinar los retos post pandemia e implementar estrategias de cambio con medidas innovadoras que ayuden a agilizar los procesos de gestión, ante la generación de cambios empresariales que demandan los mercados actuales. Los resultados, de carácter exploratorio, permiten sostener que, la pandemia generada por el COVID-19 trajo retos en la gestión del talento humano de las pymes, que le ayudaron a generar una serie de desafíos, los cuales debe enfrentar para poder alcanzar la competitividad.
