Miêu tả
Tóm tắt:Microarray technologies open a wide range of possibilities for research at the molecular level. This technique began in the mid-1990s with the studies of Schena and Lockhart who first described the development of a microarray for monitoring the expression of multiple genes. They allow comparative and simultaneous analysis of how hundreds of genes are expressed in a single assay. They allow comparative and simultaneous analysis of how hundreds of genes are expressed in a single experiment. There are different types of microarrays such as glass slide microarrays, high density microarrays or Gene-Chip® and microelectronic chips. Microarrays in the field of microbiology have several applications such as gene expression profiles, pathogenicity studies, bacterial resistance, pharmacogenomics, diagnosis and detection of microorganisms. The microarrays are an innovative tool for the exploration of gene expression profiles.
