Description
Résumé:The multiple discrimination faced by the indigenous population is the prelude to the violation of human rights. The objetive of the article is to distinguish the discrimination of the gay indigenous people and to identify how the right to be voted is violated. The research has a qualitative approach; semistructured interviews were conducted, the snowball method and the exegetical method were used. Certain electoral institutions limit or hinder the participation of gay indigenous people in municipal candidacies, because they are based on the personal interests of a social group that remains in power. Discriminatory conduct and the violation of the right to political participation remain in force, despite progress in legislative matters.
