Sumario: | This text presents an analysis on the attitudes and motivations of Costa Rican university students when learning indigenous and foreign languages. The total sample corresponds to 204 university students whose mother tongue is Spanish and who, in the last six years, have registered a course on indigenous Costa Rican languages or foreign languages. The survey used is based on the Likert scale and on the semantic differential scale. The results identify the attitudinal behavior regarding indigenous and foreign languages, as well as the relationship between this behavior and the type of motivation for learning these languages. |
