| Samenvatting: | The health emergency due to COVID-19 has forced companies to rethink their business plans based on strategic planning based on current challenges and the priorities of their new projections. This research, by its design is descriptive and exploratory, and its objective is to determine, based on the appreciation of the managers of SMEs in the minority trade sector of Hermosillo, Sonora, what are the main challenges generated from the crisis caused by COVID-19. The results obtained show that the health crisis has created a challenge for SMEs because they have been forced to modify their operational management processes to adapt the business to the new normal. In conclusion, the SME entrepreneur is aware that identifying the challenges that have caused the crisis caused by the pandemic will help generate steps that help redefine a business plan based on current market conditions. |
